Originally designed by the name behind the ultra successful JKS/Speads in the UK - the PR3 chassis was then developed on behalf of DSE by ProFormance Metals Ltd to pass the stringent MSA 2014 Roll Hoop Test.
During further development through-out 2017 we 'designed in' new features to increase cooling, braking and reliability.
Created primarily with the Monoposto Championship & F1000 single seater motorsport in mind the PR3 has been however been built to take a variety of power units. Via a choice of rear chassis sections the PR3 be fitted with a variety of power units from 1000cc bike engines to larger car derived engines coupled to a transaxle gearbox, yet the PR3 remains simple to maintain and most importantly, an intensely satisfying drive.
The PR3 was the first steel frame chassis to meet the new 2014 MSA / MIRA Testing Standards.
Because of it’s two piece chassis design the PR3 is able to accept a variety of both Bike and ‘conventional’ Car derived power units (up to 300BHP) when coupled through a sequential transaxle gearbox. The PR3’s flexibility makes this chassis suitable for a multitude of race of championships through-out the world, Monoposto in the UK, F1000 in both the USA and Australia.
The PR3’s high levels of mechanical grip characteristics also make it an ideal Hillclimb or Sprint car for a variety of classes with either Bike or car based power units.
The PR3 rolling chassis is available from just £17,500 + vat (less if you want to build the car yourself) with complete ‘ready to race’ cars available with our favoured GSXR 1000cc or Hayabusa power units.
Low Cost Maintenance – Although almost every part for the PR3 is bespoke and made from the finest quality materials the amount of spares needed and cost has been kept to a minimum.
The chassis’s neutral handling characteristics combined with high levels of mechanical grip ensure the car is both entertaining in experienced hands whilst remaining a safely predictable drive for novices.
